Sister Esther Murray, C.B.S.
Board of Directors and Liaison for The Global Foundation

Sister Esther plays a leading role in the development of leadership priorities and fundraising for St. Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT), in South Africa, where she is also a lecturer in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications. As director of the Development Office, Sister Esther helps to identify SAUT’s needs and seeks donors to support the university’s development priorities. In conjunction with this role, Sister Esther sits on the Board of The St. Augustine University Global Foundation. The Foundation raises funds internationally for the University and is based in Ireland. Sr. Esther serves as liaison between SAUT and the Board.

SAUT is a secular, non-profit, private university both owned and managed by the Catholic Church. Its campus is located on the southeastern shores of Lake Victoria, approximately ten km (about six miles) south of Mwanza. SAUT incorporates 11 constituent colleges throughout Tanzania with a total student population of about 25,000.
