How should I dress?
Casual, Business, etc...
Answer: There is no
dress code at the Spiritual Center. We ask that you dress
so that you are as comfortable as possible without making
others uncomfortable. Some retreats/programs require
clothing to allow you to move & stretch freely.
What is provided in the bedroom?
Answer: Each bedroom has a ceiling fan
and an air-conditioning/heating unit (individually regulated), a
twin bed (twenty rooms have one double beds), chest of drawers,
desk and chair, rocking chair, closet and sink. Sheets and towels
are provided. Two dormitory-style bathrooms in each bedroom wing
offer a choice of private tub or shower stalls. Some bathrooms are
handicapped-accessible. An elevator serves all three floors of the
building. The bedrooms do lock but we ask that you use your best
judgment when bringing valuables to the center.
Alarm clocks are available for a $5 deposit in the Reservation
Office.
What is included in the cost of the Bon
Secours sponsored program?
Answer: For overnight guests, the cost
includes room & board and all meals. For day only guests, the
cost includes lunch and coffee, tea and some refreshments during
breaks.
I have special dietary requirements, can
these be accommodated?
Answer: Our catering staff will take all
requests into consideration in preparation of the meals. If you
are a vegetarian, there will be alternatives for you. Please
indicate any special needs when registering.
How far in advance must I register for a Bon
Secours sponsored program?
Answer: Several of our more popular
programs fill to capacity immediately. The sooner you register,
the better. We will accept registrations up to 2 days before the
start of a program. Deposit and balance information can be found
in our newsletter and on this website.
What activities are available during my stay?
Answer: We have an outdoor swimming pool
and several hiking trails for your enjoyment. Our fitness center
offers up-to-date workout equipment. Nearby shopping centers and restaurants are available
for those with transportation. Prior to using the pool or fitness
center a wavier of liability form must be signed. Check with
the receptionist in the Registration Office for the names and
phone numbers of those offering various services during your stay
at the Bon Secours Spiritual Center.
Do I have to be Catholic to participate in
the programs offered?
Answer: Persons of all faiths are
welcomed.
