Participating in the Bon Secours Volunteer Ministry Program provides a way to be of direct service to those in need, while also focusing on personal growth and gaining a wealth of experience.
 
Bon Secours Volunteers are:
  • Women or men, single or married, all races and ethnicities
  • Attracted to the mission and charism of the Sisters of Bon Secours
  • Motivated by an open and giving spirit
  • In good physical and psychological health
  • Without family or financial obligations that would inhibit ministerial presence
  • Age 21 or older
  • Willing to live in community with other volunteers, and to choose a simple lifestyle during the service year
Benefits provided to the Bon Secours Volunteer:
  • Structured, supportive environment
  • Access to spiritual direction and an opportunity for retreats
  • Monthly stipend, budgeted for personal needs and household food and expenses

  • Housing with other volunteers, within the neighborhood where service takes place
