Foundation

1948 - The Sisters of Bon Secours were invited to Glasgow to care for the sick in their homes. In addition, Bon Secours’ health care developed on this site began with a small house for the care of the elderly.

1960 - Bon Secours Hospital opened as the first Catholic Hospital in the West of Scotland and was refurbished in 1992 The hospital was officially opened by Archbishop (now Cardinal) Winning and Provost Susan Baird was a focal point for Catholic healthcare throughout Glasgow with substantial support from the local community. The Hospital was closed in June 2000.

2000 - The Sisters in Glasgow provide care of the sick and pastoral services through outreach from their convent.
